CoD: Black Ops 6 Adds In-Game Challenge Tracker

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is getting a much-requested feature: in-game challenge tracking. Treyarch Studios confirmed the development of this UI improvement, addressing player disappointment over its absence from launch, unlike its inclusion in 2023's Modern Warfare 3.

While a release date remains unannounced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month hints at a potential imminent arrival. This news follows a January 9th patch focusing on Multiplayer and Zombies improvements. Bug fixes, UI/audio enhancements, and XP adjustments for the Red Light, Green Light mode were implemented. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, removing extended round times and zombie spawn delays in Directed Mode after community feedback.

Challenge Tracking on the Way

Treyarch's Twitter response to a fan inquiry confirmed the challenge tracking feature is "currently in the works." The functionality, popular in Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent in Black Ops 6, despite both games using the Call of Duty HQ app. This addition will greatly benefit players pursuing Mastery camos, providing real-time progress updates within the game's UI, mirroring Modern Warfare 3's implementation.

More Improvements in Development

Treyarch also acknowledged another highly sought-after change: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. The studio confirmed this feature is "also in the works," eliminating the need for constant HUD adjustments between modes. These upcoming improvements signal Treyarch's commitment to enhancing the Black Ops 6 experience based on player feedback.
