Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

by Allison Apr 26,2025

Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a clear warning to its community about the consequences of cheating. The company is committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment and has stated that it will take decisive action against any accounts involved in fraudulent ranking activities, including the use of cheats or external tools. Offenders may face account suspension or restrictions, such as being barred from receiving rewards from these competitive quests.

Capcom's warning extends to multiplayer scenarios as well. Players who participate in hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated, which could lead to the revocation of rewards for the entire party. The developer advises players to be vigilant and avoid multiplayer sessions with those engaging in or suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. If players encounter cheaters, Capcom encourages them to report the offenders to help maintain the integrity of the game.

The new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward system underscores Capcom's intensified efforts to curb cheating and ensure that the competitive spirit of these quests remains untainted.

To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub.
