Get ready, Call of Duty fans! The official Call of Duty podcast has confirmed the beta testing dates for Black Ops 6. Learn how you can participate in this exciting preview.

Two-Phase Beta Access

Activision revealed a two-part beta rollout. Early access begins August 30th and runs through September 4th, exclusively for those who pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or have active subscriptions to select Game Pass tiers. Open beta follows from September 6th to 9th, offering all players a chance to experience the action. Mark your calendars!

The full game launches October 25th, 2024, on Steam (PC), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.

New Gameplay Mechanics Revealed

The podcast also unveiled details from Treyarch's Associate Director of Design, Matt Scronce. Black Ops 6 will feature:

• 16 Multiplayer Maps: 12 standard 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps playable in 6v6 or 2v2 modes.
• Zombies Mode Returns: Two new maps await zombie enthusiasts.
• Omnimovement: A brand-new movement mechanic.
• Traditional Scorestreaks: The classic scorestreak system makes a comeback, resetting upon player elimination.
• Dedicated Melee Weapon Slot: Carry a melee weapon without sacrificing your secondary weapon.

A complete multiplayer reveal is scheduled for the Call of Duty Next event on August 28th.
