How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

Once you've completed the tutorial in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and gained access to the open world, head to Troskowitz and talk to the scribe Gaibl. This conversation will kickstart The Lion’s Crest quest. Gaibl will provide you with a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to gather the materials yourself, but you can craft the weapon at any blacksmith’s forge.

The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution

The riddle you receive is key to finding the treasures. It reads:

“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”

To solve it, start by heading to Trosky Castle where the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower are located. Exit the castle through the northern gates and continue north into the forest.

Follow the road, keeping an eye on the left side for rocky formations with small crevices. Navigate through these crevices to reach a cave housing a chapel. Examine the cross on the rock next to the chapel to find the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour, along with two treasure maps that will guide you further in the quest.

Map 1

Using the first treasure map, continue along the road that led you to the chapel and head west to the crossroads. From there, go north into the woods to locate a wolf den. Search the trees just above the den to find a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.

Map 2

The second map directs you to Vidlak Pond. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house and look for a large rock formation along the cliffs. Climb up to find a chest next to a cross.

Map 3

For the third map, fast travel to Zhelejov and head to the tavern before leaving the settlement. Cross the two bridges towards Tachov, but after the second bridge, take a small path leading to the river and forest. Follow this path to a hill and examine the large tree at the top to find bones and a bag with the armour.

Map 4

The fourth map guides you to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. On the hill, search for rocks with a cross on top to find the final piece of Brunswick’s armour.

By following these steps, you'll successfully complete The Lion’s Crest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and information on the game, including all romance options and the best perks to unlock first, be sure to visit The Escapist.
