Bandai Namco Unveils Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game

Bandai Namco is taking another exciting step into the mobile gaming world with the announcement of Digimon Alysion, a digital adaptation of the popular Digimon Card Game. This free-to-play title is set to launch on both Android and iOS platforms, though an exact release date has yet to be disclosed.

The game was unveiled at Digimon Con 2025, held on March 19th. Alongside this exciting news, Bandai Namco shared updates on other projects, including the continuation of Digimon Liberator with a new arc set for April 2025. They also released a special video celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime and announced a new project, Digimon Adventure: Beyond, as well as a new RPG titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger, coming to consoles and PC.

Digimon Alysion: More Than Just a Card Game

Digimon Alysion isn't merely a digital replica of the physical card game. It introduces a unique feature called ‘DigiAly’ cards, in addition to the original cards designed specifically for this mobile version. The game will also bring new Digimon and characters into the mix.

The game's character lineup on the official website features an all-female cast, which has sparked some curiosity and skepticism among fans. Many were expecting a more faithful adaptation of the physical game. This move in a different direction has left some players questioning the game's appeal.

It's worth noting that this isn't Bandai Namco's first foray into Digimon mobile games.
