Aquarion Tribe Gets Major Buffs in The Battle of Polytopia, Becomes Thalassic Superstars

Midjiwan has just released a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia, giving the Aquarion Tribe a complete overhaul. This update breathes new life into the first special tribe introduced back in 2017, making it a must-check for fans of the game.

The Aquarion Are Getting A Serious Makeover

Let's dive into the details of the Aquarion's refreshed appearance. The tribe's land units now boast mermaid tails, allowing them to move effortlessly through water, although they move more slowly on land. This update introduces flooded terrain, a new feature where both land and naval units can occupy the same space, adding a strategic layer to the gameplay.

The update extends to buildings as well, with players now able to construct structures on water. Explorers can discover Lost Cities nestled in deep-sea ruins, providing an ideal starting point for those who prefer a water-based strategy. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for traditional roads. Additionally, Aqua Crops have been reintroduced as a permanent fixture in the Aquarion's arsenal, functioning similarly to their land-based equivalents.

Prepare to encounter new sea creatures that enhance the Aquarion Tribe's capabilities. Sharks now prowl the waters, capable of launching surprise attacks. Puffers can bombard enemies from a distance, while Jellies deliver electric shocks to their foes. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also make a comeback. Notably, Crabs can now flood tiles they traverse, perfectly complementing the amphibious nature of the mermaid-tailed warriors. Curious to see it in action? Check out the trailer below!
