Alan Wake 2 Crosses Sales Milestone, Enters Profitability

by Finn Feb 22,2025

Alan Wake 2 surpasses 2 million global sales, exceeding initial projections. This figure significantly surpasses the 1.3 million units sold between October 2023 and March 2024, a period during which Remedy Entertainment celebrated the title as its fastest-selling game.

Remedy's recent financial report to investors highlights this achievement, attributing the success to the game's strong reception and the subsequent release of the Lake House expansion and Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition. The milestone marks the game's profitability, with Remedy now receiving royalties after recouping development and marketing expenses.

The studio also provided updates on upcoming projects. Control 2, a collaboration with Annapurna Interactive, is nearing completion of its pre-production phase and will commence full production by the end of February 2025. Similarly, the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake is progressing steadily in full production.
