AFK Journey Character Tier List (January 2025)

This AFK Journey tier list helps you determine which characters to prioritize. While most characters are viable, some excel in endgame content. This list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

AFK Journey Tier List

It's important to note that many AFK Journey characters are suitable for most content. However, some are superior for high-level endgame challenges.

This tier list prioritizes versatility and performance across PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters

Lily May, a significant addition, is a must-have Wilder character, offering substantial damage and utility. She excels in PvP (countering Eironn teams), PvE, and Dream Realm.

Thoran remains the best F2P tank, particularly useful while building Phraesto. Reinier is a top support, crucial for PvE and PvP (Dream Realm and Arena).

Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports for various game modes. Odie is vital for Dream Realm and all PvE.

Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team.

Tasi, a powerful Wilder character, offers excellent crowd control across most game modes. Harak, a Hypogean/Celestial Warrior, significantly strengthens with each enemy kill.

A-Tier Characters

Lyca and Vala effectively utilize the Haste stat, boosting attack frequency and speed. Lyca provides party-wide Haste, while Vala increases her own Haste with each marked enemy kill. Lyca's PvP performance may be limited.

Antandra is a strong alternative tank to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.

Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.

Alsa, a DPS mage, is a valuable addition to PvP compositions, particularly with Eironn. She's easier to build than Carolina and serves a similar role.

Phraesto, a substantial damage sponge, lacks offensive capabilities. Prioritize Reinier first.

Ludovic is a strong Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and performing exceptionally in PvP.

Cecia, once a top DPS, is now A-tier due to the meta shift. She remains a capable Marksman but offers less late-game value.

Sonja, a recent addition, significantly improves the Lightborne faction with respectable damage and utility across all game modes.

B-Tier Characters

B-tier characters effectively fill roles but are less valuable than A or S-tier. Replace them with superior alternatives.

Valen and Brutus are solid early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie is a decent alternative tank to Thoran and Antandra.

Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays, less effective in other modes.

Florabelle, a secondary DPS supporting Cecia, isn't essential.

Soren, decent in PvP, is suboptimal for Dream Realm and other PvE content.

Korin's effectiveness in Dream Realm has diminished.

C-Tier Characters

C-tier characters are useful early-game, but quickly become outclassed. Focus on obtaining higher-tier replacements.

Parisa, while offering powerful AoE and crowd control, is best replaced quickly.
