Acquire Weapon Enhancements in Jingle Hells: Ammo Upgrades

by Emma Feb 12,2025

Jingle Hells, the festive Black Ops 6 Zombies mode, offers a unique twist on weapon progression and upgrades. Forget the Arsenal Machine – this holiday map relies on Aether Tools. This guide explains how to upgrade weapons and obtain Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells.

Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells

Unlike standard Black Ops 6 Zombies, Jingle Hells lacks the Arsenal Machine. Instead, you'll need Aether Tools, consumable items with color-coded rarity levels (e.g., Purple for Legendary). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that rarity tier. Here's how to find them:

  • Church Spire: Toss a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. This triggers an event, dropping loot including Aether Tools. Higher rounds yield higher rarity tools.
  • Bank Vault: Loot Keys open safety deposit boxes within the Bank Vault, which may contain Aether Tools.
  • S.A.M. Trials: Completing these trials, especially at higher reward tiers, offers a chance to obtain Aether Tools.
  • Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
  • Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as the round progresses.

Ammo Mods in Jingle Hells

Currently, Cryo Freeze is the only Ammo Mod in Jingle Hells. It drops as a consumable item and is primarily found within Holiday Presents. These presents, containing random loot, offer better rewards in later rounds.

Holiday Presents can be obtained in several ways:

  • Enemy Kills: They occasionally drop from slain enemies.
  • Naughty or Nice Power-up: The stocking-shaped power-up yields either multiple Holiday Presents (Nice) or hordes of vermin (Naughty).
  • S.A.M. Machine: The S.A.M. Machine spawns several Holiday Presents upon appearance.

Equipment and Support in Jingle Hells

The Workbench is also absent from Jingle Hells, meaning no Salvage-based equipment crafting. However, equipment and Support items (like Chopper Gunners, etc.) can still be found:

  • Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemies.
  • Holiday Presents: Can contain equipment.
  • Special/Elite Enemy Kills: Support items drop from these enemies.
  • S.A.M. Trials: May award equipment and Support.
  • Bank Vault Deposit Boxes: Contain a chance of equipment and Support.
