10 Fortnite Challenges You’ve Never Heard Of

We all know what the goal in Fortnite is: to kick more ass than anybody else on the map.Correction. That used to be the goal. Back in the day, all you had to do to prove your worth was obliterate the opposition using your sweet, sweet reflexes. But Fortnite is a deeper game that you may have realized. If you really want to earn bragging rights in this era you’ll need to do more than just rack up the most impressive kill count. You’ll also need to tick off all ten of our Fortnite challenges. These hidden gems will spice up your Fortnite time and give you a fresh perspective on the game. Let’s get to it.
1. The No-Build ChallengeBuilding is a huge part of Fortnite, and you can give yourself a serious edge by putting in the time to become a master builder. But can you still survive without that edge?
The No-Build Challenge sees you navigating your Fortnite island and surviving the rigors of brutal battle royale warfare without putting up any structures at all.
With nowhere to hide, and no sneaky buildings to transform the battlefield in your favor, you’ll have to rely on your combat skills alone.
- The Pacifist Run
Pacifism isn’t just for morally charged RPGs like Undertale. Incredibly, it’s also possible to achieve a Victory Royale in Fortnite without killing a single person.
Possible, but not easy. To bag this achievement you’ll have to outsneak, outrun, and outlast an entire island full of gun-toting maniacs. - The One Chest Challenge
Opening chests and utilizing their contents to extend your murderous run is a huge part of the Fortnite experience, introducing an element of chance and variety to every round.
Every player plays with one eye on the chest situation, hoping for a miracle. There are no miracles in the One Chest Challenge, which tasks you with surviving an entire match while opening just one measly chest. - The Floor Is Lava
Fortnite throws a lot of enemies at you, and one of those enemies is the world itself. As the island battlefield shrinks, your options narrow and the danger increases.
Now try playing on a shrinking island without touching the ground. To complete the almost-impossible Floor is Lava challenge, you’ll need to spend an entire round on platforms, jump pads, vehicles, and your own buildings.
Setting foot on the ground means instant death. - The Random Loadout Challenge
Loadout is everything in Fortnite, with players building their whole approaches around their favorite combinations of weapons and items.
The Random Loadout Challenge pulls the rug out from under you by asking you to spin a figurative wheel and play the game with the resulting, perfectly random loadout.
6. The Quiet Place
Time for a softball. The Quiet Place challenge is all about taking away your voice—the most precise and responsive weapon in your arsenal—and forcing you to win a round on the strength of your ninja-like instincts. - The No-Sprint Challenge
In Fortnite as in life, a quick burst of speed can get you out of all sorts of trouble, helping you remove yourself from sticky situations, wrongfoot snipers, reach crates first, and so on.
You know what we’re going to say next. NO SPRINT FOR YOU. To complete the No Sprint Challenge, you’ll need to win a round at an agonizingly sedate pace, forcing you to plan your movements much more carefully. - The Medic Challenge
It takes a brave person to venture into battle with a rifle. It takes an even braver person to venture into battle without one.
To meet the demands of the Medic Challenge, you’ll need to put aside your weapons and carry nothing but healing items and shields. Your teammates will love you—if you can stay alive long enough to heal them. - The All-Gray Challenge
Anyone can cause trouble with a Legendary Hammer Pump Shotgun. The All-Gray Challenge invites you to win a round using exclusively Common (gray) weapons, to prove that skill can be a match for rarity. - The Travel Blogger Challenge
There’s more than one way to shoot something: with a gun, and with a camera.
To complete the Travel Blogger Challenge, you’ll need to take screengrabs or recordings of as many named locations as possible in a single match.
Bonus points for staying alive.
